- Read Acts 2:36-42
- Repent and be baptized. What does it mean to repent?
Leader Hint: to change sides. A continual recalibration of your life to a God—oriented life. - What does is mean to truly reject your old life instead of just simply accepting Jesus and your Savior?
- Read Romans 6:3-7. Why do Christians get baptized?
Leader Hint: To become united with Jesus in His death and resurrection. - Read Ephesians 2:8-10. Is a person saved if they are not baptized?
Leader Hint: We are saved by grace through faith and not by works. - We’ve talked about Repentance and baptism. What is the third foundational piece Kent talked about?
Leader Hint: The gift of the Holy Spirit - What are a few functions of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Follower of Jesus?
Leader Hint: Comforter and Helper; Teach and Remembrance; Conviction of Sin and Righteousness; Empowerment for Witnessing; Fruit and Gifts; Indwelling and Seal; - Which of these fit with your experience the most? Which one doesn’t?
- Why does Jesus call the church the body of Christ?
Leader Hint: That’s where His Spirit has taken up residence.

- Have you repented? Have you been baptized? What questions do you have about those topics? Bring them up here or connect with your leader later this week.
- Take some time to talk with God. Invite Him to have permission to speak into your life and start carving out time in your schedule to be silent.
