Leader Hints are designed to help guide a leader to some information that we want to “tease” out of the group. They are not there for you to directly read to the participants. People are significantly more likely to remember things they said or came up with, so your goal is to help direct them to that answer.
FINAL NOTE: Our goal is to get to the [APPLICATION QUESTION] to help work with people through how to apply what God is doing in their life.
INTRO:
- Icebreaker: What was the best Halloween costume you saw this year? It can be your own.
REBUILD THE SERMON:
- Work together to rebuild the sermon as a group.
- What are some common worries or anxieties you experience daily? How do these worries affect your daily life and relationships?
- Why do you think worry and anxiety are so prevalent in our society today? How do you see this reflected in your own life or the lives of those around you?
- Read Matthew 6:25-34. Jesus tells us not to worry about our life. What are your initial thoughts or reactions to this command?
- Do you find it easy or difficult to believe that you are more valuable to God than birds and flowers? Why?
- The sermon mentions that part of our anxiety comes from an inability to believe in God’s love for us. Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not? How can we grow in our understanding and acceptance of God’s love?
- How does being called a “Little Faith” resonate with you? In what ways can we strengthen that faith?
- What does it mean to “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness” in your daily life? Can you share an example of how you have or could prioritize God’s kingdom in your daily decisions?
- Kent ends with a personal story about God providing. Have you experienced a similar situation? Can sharing these stories within your community strengthen your faith and reduce anxiety? How?
Application Question:
- What practical steps can you take this week to seek God’s kingdom and righteousness in the midst of your worries and anxieties?
- Take up prayer requests and pray together.
