Sometimes our prayers go unanswered not because God isn’t listening, but because we’re asking for things that don’t align with His perfect will. It’s like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole – it simply won’t work. God isn’t a cosmic vending machine where we insert prayers and receive exactly what we want. Instead, He’s a loving Father who knows what’s best for us and works everything according to His perfect plan. The key to effective prayer isn’t just about asking fervently, but about aligning our hearts and desires with God’s will.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”

Sometimes we don’t hear. We don’t get the answer that we want because we were asking for something that’s outside of God’s will.

Prayer

Father, help me understand Your will better. Transform my desires to match Yours, and give me wisdom to pray according to Your perfect plan. Shape my heart to want what You want. Amen.
