Leader Hints are designed to help guide a leader to some information that we want to “tease” out of the group.  They are not there for you to directly read to the participants.  People are significantly more likely to remember things they said or came up with, so your goal is to help direct them to that answer.

FINAL NOTE:  Our goal is to get to the [APPLICATION QUESTION] to help work with people through how to apply what God is doing in their life.

    INTRO:

    • Icebreaker: Who has cut their grass already and who are the holdouts?

    REBUILD THE SERMON:

    • Why do many young adults struggle with their faith when they go to college?
    • What does Jesus’ death on the cross mean to you personally?
    • How do you explain the significance of the crucifixion to someone who is not a believer?
    • Why is it important to critically examine the foundation of our faith?
    • How can you regularly assess and reinforce the foundation of your faith?
    • How does the story of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden help you make better choices?
    • How did Adam and Eve’s decision to eat the fruit affect humanity?
    • Why was the sacrificial system in the Old Testament insufficient for permanent atonement?
    • How does Jesus’ sacrifice fulfill the need for atonement once and for all?
    • How can participating in communion deepen your personal relationship with Christ and strengthen your faith community?

    Application Question:

    • How can you apply the message of Jesus’ sacrifice to your daily life and interactions with others?
    • Take up prayer requests and pray together.
