Leader Hints are designed to help guide a leader to some information that we want to “tease” out of the group. They are not there for you to directly read to the participants. People are significantly more likely to remember things they said or came up with, so your goal is to help direct them to that answer.
FINAL NOTE: Our goal is to get to the [APPLICATION QUESTION] to help work with people through how to apply what God is doing in their life.
INTRO:
- Icebreaker: What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever visited and what made it special?
REBUILD THE SERMON:
- Leader Hint: Encourage transparency. You’ll get out of this conversation as much as you let yourself put in.
- What situations or events tend to trigger your anger?
- How do you differentiate between righteous anger and danger anger in your own life?
- Can you recall a time when your anger led to a positive outcome? What about a negative outcome?
- How do underlying emotions like guilt or insecurity manifest as anger in your life?
- How do you feel about Paul’s advice in Ephesians 4:26-27 regarding anger?
- What steps can you take to ensure your anger does not lead to sin?
- How does Isaiah 1:15-17 challenge your current approach to anger and conflict?
- How can you use your passionate personality to address injustices around you?
Application Question:
- What practical steps can you take this week to transform your anger into a force for good, helping those who are vulnerable or oppressed?
- Take up prayer requests and pray together.
